Aric William Hill

 Aric William Hill, 34, died October 31, 2022 in Guillin, China.  He was born July 18, 1988 in Springfield.

Aric was raised in Louisiana and southern Illinois.  He enjoyed adventures and challenges.  At the age of 25, he moved to Beijing, China to teach first year children the English language and adapted to his surroundings.  Aric was interested in many things and lived life to the fullest.

Aric was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and grandfather, Bill Loy, of Greenfield, IL.

Family left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Travis (Jennifer) Hill and their daughters Mackenzie and Abby of Carterville, IL., his mother, Janet Hill of Athens, IL., brothers Aaron (Pam) Hill and their daughters Aliza and Brielle of Athens and Andrew (Kara) Hill and their daughter Raigen and son Kennan of Woodriver, IL., grandmothers Patricia Andrews of Carterville, IL and Connie Loy of Greenfield.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4 at the Bethlehem Tabernacle Church at 2 pm in Greenfield.  Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service.  Interment of ashes will follow at the Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield.
