Barbara Fry Obituary

Barbara Ann Fry, 61, of Springfield, formerly of Greenfield, died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born March 25, 1959 in Carrollton, to Norman and Frances (Saylor) Fry.

Surviving is a son, Chad (Leslie) Fry, a grandson, Liam, all of Springfield, and a brother Gene Fry.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Barb grew up and spent most of her life in Greenfield. She spent the past 6 1/2 years living in Springfield to be closer to family. She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years beginning as a teller and retiring as credit union manager.  She was a devoted grandma to her grandson Liam, playing games and talking about their love of the St. Louis Cardinals.   She enjoyed sharing her homemade rolls and fresh baked snickerdoodle cookies. She loved spending time with friends and quickly adopted them as family.  Barb was quick to help anyone she could and expected nothing in return. 

A private family service will be held and inurnment will be at Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield.

Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society and can be mailed to the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home at 604 Walnut St in Greenfield. Please leave a memory or online condolence at shields-bishopfh.com
