Bernard “Bud” Pohlman, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 21 of complications following cancer surgery.
Born in Greenfield on May 23, 1941, he graduated from Greenfield HS in 1959. Bud spent his working years as a farmer and carpenter before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building things with his hands. He was always happier outside than in and loved taking long drives on the gravel back roads.
He is survived by his children Dana James of Lake City, Florida, David (Devon) Pohlman of Shoreview, Minnesota, Mandy (John) Carballido of Hanna City, Illinois and Charles “Buddy” Pohlman of Chicago. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, seven sisters, and his girlfriend, Mary Smith.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents Alvie and Margaret Pohlman, brothers Ray and Charles, and infant son, Daniel.
Family will meet friends for a “Time of Remembrance” from 1 until 3 pm Saturday, February 24, at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield.
