Billy Joe Scott

Billy Joe Scott, 76, of Greenfield, died Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his residence.  He was born September 10, 1947 in Carrollton, to Richard and Lois (Bell) Scott.  He married Connie (Timm) Scott September 7, 1968 in Chebanse, IL. and she preceded him in death April 7, 2006.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Brandon) Williams of Greenfield, son, Rick (Emily) Scott of St. Louis, grandchildren, Ben (Jaliece) Scott, Nate Scott, Leah Scott, and Aidan Williams, brother, David (Pam) Scott, nephews Mike (Theresa) Scott and Josh Scott, great-nephew Trent Scott, and first cousin, Donna (Bax) Maggart.

Bill served his country in the United States Army.  He worked at Morrow Brothers Ford for 20 years.  He coached Little League in Greenfield for several years, enjoyed camping and horseback riding, and loved working around the farm.

At his request, cremation rites will be accorded.  A private family interment will take place at Oak Wood Cemetery at a later date.
