Obituary

Brooks Lee Alexander, the deeply loved 44 day old son of Joseph and Emily (Pembrook) Alexander of Carrollton, was called to his eternal home on April 27, 2023 while in the arms of his parents. He was born March 14, 2023 in Jacksonville and was a true gift from God.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother Jackson and sister Jade, who absolutely adored him; paternal grandparents Wayne and Carrie Alexander of Carrollton, maternal grandparents John and Nikki Pembrook of Greenfield, maternal great-grandma Joyce Carlson of Greenfield, paternal great-grandma Elaine Bugos of Roodhouse, and paternal great grandparents James and June Saunders of Whitney, Tx, along with several special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Lori Pembrook; great-grandparents Robert Alexander, Thomas J. Bugos, David Carlson, Larry Johnson, and William D. and Sarah Lou Pembrook.

Brooks and his parents built a very special bond with many of those who cared for him in his short time here with us on earth. Brooks’ beautiful big blue eyes seemed to be the perfect comforting sight in every moment. He disliked his ears being tickled, enjoyed being snuggled in the rocking chair, tolerated his Dad rubbing his head until cute little bald spots were visible, would turn his head as far as possible at sound of his Mommy’s soothing voice, and found comfort in the songs sung to him by his brother and sister.

Brooks brought an overwhelming amount of love into the lives of his family. He allowed us first hand to see the Grace of our God, he taught us self-sacrifice, an understanding that we are not the ones in control, and that peace can be found in every moment of life. His love will forever live on and will forever be missed.
