Cynthia G. (Smith) Roemer

Cynthia G. Roemer, 59, of Hettick, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at her home.  She was born, February 24, 1966 in Carlinville to Alvin and Florence (Wiese) Smith.  She married Marvin Roemer April 9, 1994 in rural Girard, and he survives.

Also surviving are her sons, Glenn (Megan) Roemer of Carrollton and Evan Roemer of rural Roodhouse, her mother, Florence Smith, and her sisters, Lisa (Jim) Cannon and Renae (Bob) Ernst. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Smith.

Cynthia was a member of the Scottville Christian Church. She worked as a librarian and teacher’s aide in the Northwestern School District.  She was a homemaker and loved the outdoors where she enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds.  She was also a free-lance writer and had seven books published.

A funeral service will be held at the Scottville Christian Church Saturday, April 5, at 2 pm.  No visitation will be held.  Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Modesto. Memorials are suggested to the Scottville Christian Church, P.O.
