Delora B. (Featherstone) Stone

 Delora B Stone, 95, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, November 22, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Jacksonville.   She was born February 5, 1922 in Wrights Township, daughter of Laurin an Neetia Featherstone.  She married Henry Clay Stone, Jr. July 30, 1939 in St Charles, Mo., and he preceded her in death October 17, 1987.

     She is survived by a son, Thomas (Therese) Stone of Villa Park, IL.; grandsons Sean (Kami) Stone of Yorkville, IL and Steve (Darlene) Stone of Naperville, IL.; and great-grandchildren Carson, Kelsey, Keira. and Kate. 

     She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Featherstone.

     She worked for Western Cartridge during World War II, and was involved with social clubs in various locations where her husband was stationed. She delivered Meals on Wheels in Greenfield for 25 years.

     Visitation will be Monday, November 27 from 11 am until time of funeral service at noon at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will follow at the Union cemetery north of Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Meals on Wheels program or the Union Cemetery.   Online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com.
