Donna Joann (Shaw) Becker

Donna Joann (Shaw) Becker, 90, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at High Point Residence in Carlinville.  She was born February 3, 1936 in Carrollton, one of fourteen children, to Wilber and Leta (Custer) Shaw.  She married Fredrick Becker August 12, 1953, and he preceded her in death April 10, 2003. 

Surviving is one daughter, Tina Finley, eight grandchildren Lynn (Bill) Wilson, Donna (Thomas) Inman, Kristine (Josh) Dodson, Jason (Lisette) Becker, James Becker, Lori (Rance) Dobbs, Jennifer LaRue, and Eva (Philip) Beshears, a daughter-in-law, Liz Becker, and a son-in-law, Richard Jett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Tony, and her daughter, Theresa Jett.

Donna loved being part of Women’s Auxiliary.  She worked at the Dairy Dell until it burned. She co-owned F.W. Becker, Inc, and worked there until it closed. She loved to garden and canning her veggies and fruit.  She was and avid knitter and loved to travel with her friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 24, from 5 until 7 at Shields-Bishop Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, April 25 at the funeral home.  As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded after services and an inurnment will take place at a later date at the Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield.
