Fred Kesinger

Fred Kesinger, 77, of Greenfield died Sunday, July 30th, at his home.  He was born May 9, 1940 in Greene County to Darrell and Leota (Copley) Kesinger.  He married Kermeta Fansler July 27, 1962 in White Hall, and she preceded him in death April 20, 2011.  

     Surviving is one daughter, Rebecca (Steven) Hart of Greenfield, a son, John (Joanne) Kesinger of Carrollton, four grandchildren, Dustin (Emily) Hart, Elizabeth Kesinger, Jessica Hart, and Kyle Kesinger, and four great-grandchildren, Nora Grace and Elliemae June Hart, and Konner and Carter Jones, a sister Sandra (Steve) Seymour of Linnville, a sister-in-law Billie Hubner of Bismark, and a brother, Ronald (Sue) Kesinger of Roodhouse. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Darrel "Pete" Kesinger and two sisters, Hazel Smith and Janet Smith.

     Fred was an active member of the Charity Southern Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also was an active member of the "We Care" Food Pantry.  He loved to play cards and golf with friends.

     At his request, cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial visitation will be Friday, August 4, at the Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield from 9 am until time of a memorial service at 11. Burial of ashes will be private at a later date at the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Wrights.   Memorials are suggested to the Hickory Grove Cemetery or the "We Care" Food Pantry.  The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com
