Gary Lynn Bailey, 67, of Alton, passed away July 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1955 to Donald and LaVerne (Gerdt) Bailey. He married Tina Tindall May 23, 2021 in Fidelity and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kaye Bailey of Grafton, Ross (Lisa) Bailey of Godfrey, Josh (Tanya) Bailey of Carrollton, and Danny (Sabrina) Bailey of White Hall, a step- son, James Wren of Wood River, grandchildren, Gaige, Tyler, Jocelyn, Makayla, Christopher “CJ”, Asher, Kenzie, Nicolas, Jaxon and Lincoln, great-grandchildren, Kendall, Ryan, and Oliver, and brothers, Clinton (Kathy) Bailey, Rob Bailey, and Jeff Eveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Ronald Dean and his first wife Chris Bailey.
Gary attended Greenfield High School and later pursued a career as a semi-truck driver. He worked diligently, providing for his family and ensuring their well-being. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, July 25, at the Shields-Bishop funeral home in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 9 am until time of service. Burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery near Wrights. Memorials are suggested the Faith Bible Church in Greenfield, or the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Fidelity.
