Harold K. Pursey Sr., 74, of Palmyra, died Sunday, September 19, at the Carlinville Hospital. He was born August 26, 1947, in Carlinville, to J.W. and Lucile (Ketchum) Pursey. He married Donnetta Moon, March 26, 1966 in Carlinville, and she survives.
Also surviving are two children, Lori Pursey of Palmyra, Harold K. (Will) Pursey Jr., of Springfield, three grandchildren, Brooke (Michael) Bishop, Seth (Bridgid) Pursey, and Sophia (Hunter) Pursey, three great-grandchildren, Chevi Mae, Ryatt Michael, and Finnegan Michael, one brother, Melvin Pursey of Chesterfield, two nieces, Jodi (Greg) Griffel, and Becky (Marty) Phelps, and two great nephews, Jordan and Jacob Griffel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister-in-law, Patty Pursey.
Harold worked for Altorfer Cat in Springfield for 25 years, and owned and operated Pursey Lawn Service for 28 years. As a younger man, he raced stock cars. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with them.
