Judith Anne "Judi" Franz

Judith Anne “Judi” Franz, 81, died Saturday, November 26, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born December 17, 1940, in Marion, and was raised by Harrison and Theda B. (Meadows) Cole.  She married Maurice Franz, February 16, 1980, in Grafton, and he survives.

Also surviving are her sons, Jeff Coker, and Brian (Janet) Coker, her granddaughter, Chrissy (Reis) Prevost her grandson, Cayden Coker, and her great-grandchildren, Jaley Maria Prevost and Piper Rose Prevost

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Jean Wernersson and brother, Jerry Cole

Judi attended weekly services at the Greenfield United Methodist Church. She was the receptionist for Dr. Chopra’s office in Carlinville until her retirement in 2001. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, and spending winters in Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, December 2, at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield.  Visitation will be from 9:30 until time of service. Memorials are suggested to the Greenfield United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey. Please leave a memory or condolence
