Judith Ann Metcalf

Judith Ann Metcalf 81, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on August 4, 2021 in Leesburg, FL. She was born in Jacksonville, IL on January 21, 1940 to Johnny and Happy Metcalf of Greenfield. She was of Christian faith. Ann formerly owned The Body Connection, a health supplements store. She was ahead of the times when it came to holistic self-care. She moved to Florida in 2005 and resided a block from her sister, Jacque Edmonds and her husband, Jay. The three of them enjoyed evenings in the Florida room with Jay manning the grill. Friday evenings were often spent seeking out a good fish dinner. Anytime Ann was out, she made sure a pit stop was made to grab her favorite treat, a frosty from Wendy’s. She was an avid sports fan with the St. Louis Cardinals topping the list followed closely by any great game in the NBA. She delighted her great grandkids, Trestin, Taelor and Josie by always sending cards for every occasion. They knew she’d be tucking in a little spending money and writing a special note to each of them.

She was predeceased by her parents and her son, Rex Blair Helm of Columbia, KY. Her sister, Jacque, passed in the same tragic accident that took her from us too soon. Ann is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Jo Whited of Chapin, IL, her granddaughter, Nikki Whited of Jacksonville, IL, granddaughter, Kelly Metcalf (whom she raised) of Florida and granddaughter, Wendy Allison Burton of Columbia, KY. She is also survived by four great grandchildren. Trestin, Taelor and Josie Price of Jacksonville, IL, and Everleigh Blair Burton, of KY, as well as several special nieces and nephews. Also surviving (briefly) was her faithful or fickle (depending on his mood) companion/kitty, Scooter that she rescued in 2004.

“Judy” to some, “Ann” to others, “Momma”, “E.U”, or Granny Annie to those who loved her best, will be greatly missed. There will be no services per Ann’s request. Her family will join together to celebrate her life at a later date.
