Lorene Marie (Meyers) Rollins

Lorene Marie Rollins, 84, of Carrollton, formerly of Rockbridge, died Saturday, July 8, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.  She was born September 16, 1938, in Rush Hill, MO., one of seven children born to Emmanuel and Ruth (Talley) Meyers.  She married Donald E. Rollins January 7, 1966, in Roodhouse, and he preceded her in death February 12, 2016.

Surviving is one son, Marvin (Betty Baker) Rollins of Rockbridge, and one brother, Talley Meyers of White Hall.

Lorene loved spending time at the Senior Citizens Center in Carrollton, and lovingly referred to it as "headquarters". She enjoyed auctions and playing bingo, and spending time with her family.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2 pm at the Rose Hill Cemetery west of Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Senior Citizens Center in Carrollton.  The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield is assisting the family with arrangements.  Please leave a memory or condolence at shields-bishopfh.com.
