Lorie Parker-McDaniles, 59, of Pearl, died Thursday, November 18, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born, May 6, 1962, in Alton, to Frank and Eleanor (Songer) Parker.
Surviving are her children, Brandy McDaniles of Pearl, Amber (Garrison) Waid of Winchester, Jaimie (Erica) Main of Louisiana, MO. Chris (Ashley) Mesey of Carrollton, Ryan McDaniles of Pearl, Jesse McDaniles of Pearl, and Kody McDaniles of Milton, sixteen grandchildren, and two sisters, Ellyn (Glen) Parker-Neal of Edwardsville, and Bobbie Myers of KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James, and beloved partner, Gale Davis.
Lorie was a wonderful and very beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Some of her favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting mushrooms, planting flowers, collecting turtles, and spending time with her sixteen grandchildren. She loved the color purple, drinking Pepsi, and listening to classic rock. She was a mother figure to so many, and always went out of her way for others. She was the type of person that could make you smile and laugh. She will be dearly missed.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a memorial gathering with the family will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:30 until 12:30 at the Greenpond Christian Church in Pearl, IL. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorials are requested to the family. The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield is assisting the family.
