Marilyn Ann Bowman, 79, of Greenfield, died Thursday, November 17, in Jerseyville. She was born in Carrollton, November 5, 1943, to Kenneth and Ann (Cordes) Kinser. She married Robert K. Bowman, June 9, 1962, at St. John’s Church in Carrollton, and he preceded her in death, April 27, 2012.
Surviving are her children, Kenny(Cheryl) Bowman of Carrollton, and Kim Bowman of Greenfield, grandchildren, Marissa(Alex) Sievers of Meppen and Austin(Keirstin) Bowman of Carrollton, great-grandchildren Lila and Kylie Sievers, with one great- granddaughter coming soon, a sister, Martha(Larry) Angle of Carrollton, nieces Lisa(Greg) Pohlman, and Jill Price, and nephew, Steve Angle, and great-nieces and nephew, Macy and Molly Pohlman, and Tessa, Andrew, and Taylor Price.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, John Kinser.
Marilyn worked at the United Community Bank in Greenfield for 47 years. She loved following her children and grandchildren’s lives and everything they were involved with. She was an active member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield. She was a kind soul and will be missed by many.
A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, November 23, 10 am, at the St. Michael’s Church in Greenfield. A prayer service will be at 4:45 pm Tuesday prior to the visitation from 5 until 7 at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Oak Wood cemetery north of Greenfield.
