Pearl M. (Beavers) Eddy

  Pearl M. Eddy, 81, passed away August 21, 2017 at the White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center.  One of fourteen children, she was born October 10, 1935 in New Canton, IL to Edward and Ida Marie Beavers.  She married Everett L. Eddy on May 9, 1953 and he preceded her in death.  Together they had one daughter, Rhonda (Terry) Piper of Greenfield.

     Also surviving is one brother, Phillip John Beavers of Hamilton, three grandchildren, David Lee Nelson of Quincy, Allyson Nelson of Payson, , and Jacob Piper of Auburn, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

     For 25 years, Pearl ran Eddy's Hillside Boarding Home in Kinderhook for the elderly.  She loved being around family and was a two year breast cancer survivor.

     Cremation rites will be accorded and family services will be planned for a later date.  Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com.
