Phyllis I. (Wallis) Vice

Phyllis I. Vice, 92, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 14, at Boyd Hospital in Carrollton.  She was born July 30, 1931, to Clayborn and Alice (Ham) Wallis in Scottville.  She married Richard Vice, May 14, 1952, in Carrollton, and he preceded her in death April 26, 2015.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Davidson, Janet (Jim) Bowker, and Marcia (Steve) Nagy, grandchildren, Jennifer Cathers, Jason (Melissa) Davidson, Kevin (Melissa) Davidson, Gina (Jeff) Reif, Terry (Heather) Bowker, Melissa Goetten, Sara Medford, Kari (Cody) Hanold and Jessica (Kevin) Alward, 24 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and siblings, Carl (Mildred) Wallis, Elsie Hayes, Linda Zirges, Mary Chapman, Harold Wallis, Judy Turner and William Jr. (Debbie) Wallis.

She was preceded by a son-in-law, John Davidson, and siblings, Doris Baumgartner, Leroy Wallis, Dean Wallis, George Wallis, Frieda Conner, Frank Wallis, Sylvia Schad, and Mable Wallis.

Phyllis enjoyed hosting church get togethers at her house and was a Sunday School teacher.  She faithfully read her bible. She also loved to make quilts and share them.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July 23, at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield.  Burial will follow at the Richwoods cemetery near Roodhouse.  Visitation will be from 10 am until time of funeral service.  Memorials are suggested to the Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield.  Please leave a memory or condolence at shields-bishopfh.com
