Ralph A. Jones Jr.

Ralph A. Jones, Jr. 87, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Jerseyville.  He was born, April 20, 1937, in Bureau, IL. to Ralph A. and Elva (Philips) Jones.  He married Carol Mann, December 9, 1977, in Fayette, and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Dawn Knotts of Greenfield, Serena Tigo of Divernon, Monica (Jose) Vicente of Greenfield, Tim (Lindsay) Jones of Greenfield, and Jay Jones of White Hall, his grandchildren, Shayla Behnen, Philip Knotts, Jodi Stone, Mike Stone, Alyssa Perry, Emily Blumenburg, Leah Jones, Taylor Jones, Tessa Jones, Lucas Jones, Livia Jones, Katie Guerrero, Tonya Jones and Andy Quanstrom, and his great-grandchildren, Lily and Parker Behnen, Graysin and Ryker Stone, Lorraine Shipley, Elaina and Atlas Perry, Ali Balensiefen, Maddy, Mackenzie, Brook, and Austin Borys, Jaxson Winters, Kelsi Mendez, Tye Strader, Jordan, Kingston, Sephora and Saint Mendez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Gene Sprague, Richard and Billy Jones, and sister Betty Curley, daughters, Brenda Poff, Debra Jones, Deniese Jones and son Bradley Jones.

Ralph worked and retired from Howe Electric in Jacksonville. He served his community for over forty years, no matter the call. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything his grandkids were doing.  He loved spending time with his family, most of all. He was a Mason and served on the Greenfield Tiger Backer Board.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 5, from 10 am until 12 noon at the Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield. Memorials are suggested the Greenfield Tiger Backers Booster Club.
