Richard Wood Bowman

Richard Wood Bowman, 78, of Palm Desert, CA, died Thursday, March 19, 2018 in Palm Desert.  He was born December 2, 1939 in Jacksonville to Harold and Nellie (Wood) Bowman.  

   Surviving is a daughter, Jennifer(Chris) Maxwell of Melbourne, Australia, two grandchildren Levi and Maya, a sister, Nancy Kratzer of Glen Mills, PA. and a very special friend, Nancy Lynn Fichtel of New York City. Locally, he was preceded in death by a special cousin, J. Fred Bauer.

   Richard was a health care financial manager.

   At his request, cremation rites were accorded and a memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, April 21, at 11 am at the Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield.  The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield is assisting the family with local arrangements and online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com.
