Rose Eileen (Hardwick) Parker

Rose Eileen (Hardwick) Parker 59, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at White Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Rose was born November 25, 1963 in Pittsfield, Illinois to John Earl and Rose Eileen Hardwick. After graduating from Greenfield High School in 1981, she enlisted in the United States Air Force serving as an Accounting & Finance Specialist from 1981 - 2001.
While in the Air Force, Rose met the love of her life and best friend Thomas Parker. They married on September 4, 1984 in Greenfield, Illinois and he survives. To this union were born 3 daughters Katy, Vicky, and Dee.  They survive along with 7 grandchildren.
Also surviving is one brother John “Junior” (Carol) of Greenfield and one sister Bonnie (Jerry) Clark of Gifford.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Upon retiring from the Air Force, Rose and Tom returned to Greenfield where Rose drove a school bus for the Greenfield School District until her retirement in 2019.  She was active in her daughters' sports all through school. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  After her retirement, she loved going on day trips with Tom and going to concerts.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no formal services. Shields-Bishop Funeral Home of Greenfield is in charge of private arrangements.
