Ruth (Long) Waters

Ruth Waters, 83, of Greenfield, died Friday April 3, at Passavant Area Hospital.  She was born January 28, 1937 in Greene County to Lee and Florence (Sproul) Long. 

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings, Mamye Monroe, Mildred Patterson, Christina Rice, Bennie, LeeRoy, Ivan, Sanford, and Harrison Long.

Ruth was well known in Greenfield and cared for many children and cleaned several houses and businesses previously.   She loved spending time with family and was loved by all.

Due to current regulations, a private graveside service will be held at Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield. The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com
