Sharon Ann (Cochran) Ruyle

Sharon Ann Ruyle, 69, of rural Carrollton, passed away Sunday morning, December 21, surrounded by her family.  She was born November 26, 1956, in Carrollton, to Gene and Gladys (Goode) Cochran.  She married Jimmie Ruyle, September 14, 1975 at Wrights Baptist Church. He preceded her in death April 1, 1997.

Surviving are her children, Rachel Roberts of Virden, Elysia (Denny) Riggs and Brian (Nicole) Ruyle both of Greenfield, and Kevin Ruyle of Carrollton, her grandchildren, Haley Jones, Briana Roberts, Faith Roberts, Karissa Ruyle and Leanna Riggs, and her siblings, Starla Talley, Larry (Arlene Dawdy) Cochran, and Gary Cochran.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Mary Sprague Collins and her sister and brother-in-law, Vicky (Paul) Drennan.

Sharon loved her Lord and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Greenfield. She loved her 20 plus years working at Bev’s Baskets and Bows. One of her greatest joys came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, Monday, December 29, from 4 until 7 pm, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 30. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery north of Greenfield.  Memorials are requested to First Baptist Church or Union Cemetery.  Please leave a memory or condolence at shields-bishopfh.com
