Timothy Lee Walden, 51, of Rockbridge, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 22, 1965, in White Hall, to Herman M. and Becky (Wankel) Walden. He married Janis Roth, September 3, 1993 in Jacksonville and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Breanna (Jason Portwood) Walden of Carrollton, and Tabitha (Cole Thompson) Walden of White Hall, who are both expecting in the fall, three sisters, Cindy (Jeff) Behnen of Rockbridge, Rhonda (Rusty) Jackson of Medora, Missy (Lee Vahl) Walden of Jerseyville, nieces and nephews, Bret (Mindy) Jackson, Kiley Jackson, Ryan (Shayla) Behnen, and Dayne Behnen, and several great-nieces and nephews, and two beloved pets, Buster and Lyla. He was preceded in death by his father.
Tim was a 1983 graduate of Greenfield High School. He loved being a jokester, and there was never a “dull moment” when he was around. He loved all kinds of racing, especially dirt track racing. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing. Tim loved mostly, spending time with his family.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, from 4 until 7 pm at the Greenfield United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Keller Cemetery near Chesterfield. Memorials are requested to the Greene County Gas Cards for Cancer Patients.
